Seasonal Flavor: Caramel Apple Chai Cupcake

As the leaves begin to turn colors, the temperatures drop,  and apples ripen on the trees,  I start reaching for my hot cup of tea and into my cupboards for warm spices for my baking. For the fall season, I had to turn to some of my favorite flavors for this season’s special flavor.

During my testing process, I asked my tasters how they liked it and what it tasted like. They all said it tasted like “fall”. Score! And I have to agree. It’s fall in your mouth.

Caramel Apple Chai – Starting with a chai spice cupcake, the cake is filled with gooey caramel and cooked cinnamon apples, frosted with a sea salted caramel cinnamon cream cheese frosting and drizzled with more caramel and a few apples on top for decoration.
